You are welcome to Appoemn – The
association of Professional Party Organizer and Event Planners of Nigeria.
The executive team changed on the 1st of
January 2021 with a new set of leaders poised to continue to build on the
legacy of the past team and take the association to a higher level by setting
and emphasizing industry standards. The next two years will be used to do this.
I see an association that will become
veritable stakeholders with both our domiciled state and Federal government. We
are continuing our engagement with the government to solicit the necessary
backing and support needed and to engage for necessary collaboration and
partnership.
2020 tagged “The year of Covid-19” has been
a challenging year for the whole world and one of the worst hit industry was
the Events Industry. We will however arise from the ashes to be better,
stronger and more focused as an Association and the members as entrepreneurs.
In the next two years, we will concentrate
on:
1. Rebuild
the morals of our members within the industry.
2. Expand
our outreach by creating zonal chapters and making them strong.
3. Hold
trainings, seminars, (virtual physical and hybrid – One of the gains of
covid) for industry players both members and non-members on industry
standards, need for collaboration health and safety protocols within the
industry etc.
4. Hold
our yearly conference TEIC – The Event Industry Conference
We will continue to grow this association
without limits, remain relevant and a reference point.
I enjoin and implore all those
practitioners who have not identified with a body or association to do so now
more than ever before. It will become increasingly difficult to run a solo ship
going forward.
On behalf of the patrons, board of
directors and executive team, I say thank you to everyone and welcome to a new
post-covid world of opportunity within the Event Industry.
